Black Friday & Cyber Monday Smart Home & Home Security Deals 2026

Smart home and home security gear is one of the categories where the late-November sales are real — and one where the word “deal” does a lot of quiet work. Some of the biggest discounts in this aisle come attached to a subscription, a monitoring plan or a model that has just been replaced. Some of the products we most recommend barely move in price at all. This page exists to separate those cases, using what brands and retailers actually did in past seasons rather than what anyone hopes they will do this one.

It is written to be useful in September. If you are reading it in November, jump to the live deals section; if it is still empty, no deal we trust has gone live yet. Everything else on the page — the history, the buy-now-or-wait guidance, the current prices — is the homework we would do before spending money on Black Friday, done once and kept current. The top picks above carry today’s live prices, which is the baseline every November number should be judged against.

What has historically gone on sale

These are the product classes where the record is clear. Every figure is a quoted, dated fact from the source listed at the foot of the page; none of it is a promise about 2026.

Amazon’s own devices: Echo, Ring, Blink

The most reliably discounted hardware in this category is the hardware Amazon makes. For its 2025 Black Friday event, which ran from November 20 through December 1, Amazon’s own announcement promised “up to 50% on select Amazon devices,” naming the Echo Dot Max, Blink Mini 2K+, Blink Outdoor 2K+ and the Ring Indoor Cam among them. That matters for three products we cover — the Echo Dot, the Echo Hub and the Blink Outdoor 4 — and for the Ring cameras and doorbells we compare. Two cautions travel with it. Amazon’s 2025 announcement led with its newest devices, so a headline deal on a Blink Outdoor 2K+ tells you nothing about the older Outdoor 4 kit. And a discounted Ring or Blink bundle is only a bargain if you were going to pay for the plan anyway; our Ring vs Blink comparison explains which Blink module you need to avoid one.

Wyze, eufy and TP-Link cameras and gadgets

The budget camera brands run their own sales, and they have been deep. Wyze’s 2025 Black Friday sale ran “now through Cyber Monday,” and members of Wyze’s own forum recorded the Cam v4 at $19.98 on wyze.com during it, with Amazon and Walmart a few dollars higher. eufy’s own blog describes its security-camera discounts as typically 20–50% off regular prices, with the major cuts peaking between November 20 and December 1 — and eufy’s sale covers the kits we recommend most, the eufyCam S330 and the Video Doorbell E340. TP-Link’s Kasa and Tapo lines have been discounted at Amazon too: dated coverage of the 2023 sale recorded up to 44% off across plugs, bulbs and cameras, with a Kasa Matter plug at $13 against a $40 list. The plugs and bulbs are cheap all year, so the dollar saving is small; the cameras are where waiting has mattered.

Premium smart locks

This is the surprise in the record. Branded locks are expensive and slow to change, and in late November 2025 they hit genuine lows: dated coverage of Black Friday weekend put the Schlage Encode Plus at $250 against a $330 regular price, the Level Lock+ at $249 against $329, and the Yale Assure Lock 2 Plus from $203 against $310, all at Amazon. If a lock is on your list and the door can wait, this is the class where waiting has paid most clearly.

Philips Hue

Hue’s own store has run a Black Friday promotion in recent years with a specific shape: in 2024 it was 30% off when two or more participating products were in the basket, worldwide, from mid-November. Hue’s official promotions page confirms the 2025 sale has ended and says the Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals “will be back in 2026.” The Hue starter kit is the pick this affects.

Alarm systems: deep, with a string attached

SimpliSafe runs some of the largest headline discounts in the category, and the record shows the catch: its deepest Black Friday cuts have been tied to signing up for a professional monitoring plan, and there is, in Security.org’s words, “almost always a SimpliSafe sale going on.” For a buyer who wants the SimpliSafe kit precisely because it works with no plan, the number to compare is the hardware-only price. The same logic applies to any Ring Alarm bundle.

Thermostats: modest and predictable

Google and ecobee discount, but not dramatically. Google’s Store previewed its 2025 Black Friday savings as $50 off the Nest Learning Thermostat, $40 off the Nest Doorbell and up to $30 off the new Nest Cams, starting November 20. ecobee’s 2025 Black Friday pricing on Amazon put the Smart Thermostat Premium at $220 against a $250 regular price. Fixed dollar amounts, not halves.

Hubs

Hubitat ran its own Black Friday pricing on hubitat.com in 2024: a community deal record dated November 27, 2024 lists the C-8 Pro at $155, $45 off, and the base C-8 at $120, $70 off. The Amazon-made hubs fall under the Amazon devices pattern above.

What rarely discounts

Apple. Apple’s own 2025 Black Friday event was a gift card with purchase — up to $50 when buying a HomePod — rather than a price cut, and the coverage we cite says as much: the way to save on Apple hardware has been to buy it from a retailer, not from Apple. If the HomePod mini is the gift, buy it when you need it and do not wait on Apple for a deep cut.

Home Assistant Green. Nabu Casa sells it at a published recommended price through a list of authorized distributors, and its product page lists no promotions; in our research we did not find a Black Friday cut on it. The Home Assistant Green is the pick where waiting has had no obvious reward.

Anything just replaced. Not a brand but a pattern: the deepest percentage discounts in this category often land on the model that has just been superseded, which is fine if you know it and a trap if you do not. How to tell a real deal from a dressed-up one

• Compare against a real baseline, not the “list” price. The live prices on this page and on every roundup are the honest reference. A strike-through list price the product has not sold at for months is marketing.
• Check the generation. The deepest percentage cuts often land on the model just replaced. Sometimes that is exactly what you want — the older Echo Dot is our budget pick on purpose — but know it before you buy.
• Read what the discount requires. A SimpliSafe price that needs a monitoring sign-up, a Ring bundle that only records with a plan, a Blink kit whose included module cannot save clips: each is a fine deal for the right buyer and a bad one for a no-fee buyer. Our subscription guide is the checklist.
